Adult Education Programs

Using theatre to unlock social emotional learning for all ages

At CLIMB, we believe that the arts can teach all of us valuable life skills – and this doesn’t just apply to kids! CLIMB’s actor-educators have visited community centers for adults with disabilities, including Options. Inc in Big Lake and The Next Step Transition Program in St. Paul. Through these residencies, our curriculum gives people of all ages safe spaces to learn, and have some fun while they’re at it!

These programs can be as customizable as our school classes, based in your selection of the EMPOWER skills you’d like to focus on. While some of our groups like to do social emotional lessons, complete with games and improvisational role play, some groups prefer a more theatre-based practicum. Our Acting with Good V.I.B.E.S program uses acting, playwriting, and theatre games to teach the basics of the theatre-making process, showing students how to use their collaboration and empathy to create something amazing as a team.
