These interactive classes and plays teach children the ABCs and 123s of being a good and kind person.
Social Skill Classes
These preschool enrichment classes focus on positive behavior and character-building skills for the very young to preschool students. Each class is only 20 minutes long. Students meet fun characters while learning important skills like self-control, empathy, emotion regulation, sharing and taking turns.
It’s Mackie Macaw’s first day at a new school, and she needs a little help making friends. Can Professor Frillyfeathers and the other penguins make her part of the huddle? Students learn about the importance of empathy, accepting differences, and including others.
Educational Objectives:
- To practice reading other people’s emotions
- To show examples of exclusion
- To show how it might feel to be left out
- To practice saying “yes” when someone wants to play
Rory the Lion is having a tough day, and the zookeeper isn’t sure how to help – but with the help of some new friends, they can work it out together! Students learn how to identify big emotions like anger and sadness, and how to turn those feelings into something paws-itive.
Educational Objectives:
- To identify and model happy, sad, and mad
- To act out situations in which a student might feel mad
- To practice taking a deep breath and counting to five when angry or sad
- To teach students a song to help them remember how to handle intense emotions
Oswald the octopus loves a good party and shell-ebrating with their friends – but when they get too excited, they don’t always think about how their actions impact their friends. Can they learn to listen and think before they cause a comm-ocean? Students learn self-regulation techniques and how to empathetically interact with others
Educational Objectives:
- To emphasize and practice listening and following directions
- To model poor self-control, specifically poking and talking out of turn
- To practice keeping hands and feet to yourself
- To practice waiting in line
Princess Mimi and Princess Mina have their very first play date. As the two begin to play and have fun Princess Mina refuses to take turns. She may have been having fun but doesn’t realize no one else is. With the help of Princess Mimi and the rest of the Royal Children, Princess Mina learns how to follow the rules, share, and take turns.
Educational Objectives
- To define and demonstrate taking turns
- To emphasize that when you take turns, you will get your item back
- To state that when you let others play with your toys, they might do the same for you
- To practice the phrase, “Can I please have a turn when you’re done?”
Joey was devastated after his first day of school. He didn’t make ANY new friends. The problem is that he didn’t know how to do so. With the help of his mom and Expert Kids Joey learns to introduce himself, share, and invite others to play.

- To practice introducing themselves, as others names, and invite them to play
- To practice sharing
- To show how how to play nice and follow the rules

Mini-Plays for Mini-People
Our mini-plays are versatile and can fit lots of spaces be it a classroom, library, or even outside. These productions bring classic fables and fairytales to life while teaching valuable skills like team work, compromise, kindness, and manners. Mini-plays are 30-35 minutes and great to include the whole family.
In this continuation of Aesop’s Fable, The Ant and the Grasshopper, two friends compete together in the “Find Your Voice” competition. However, hardworking Ant and playful Grasshopper are having trouble finding their harmony. With the help of Queen Bee and the audience, Ant and Grasshopper will learn to BEE Kind, BEE a Friend, and BEE Together as they work towards creating a sound where everyone’s voice is a part of the chorus.
Since the mouse cousins had such a “gouda” time when they last met, they decided to take their next adventure to more neutral grounds: The Suburbs. Country Mouse wants to explore the new area while City Mouse wants to read, renew, and repeat for a relaxing vacation. Will conflict tear apart their relationship, or will they learn to compro-mice and celebrate their differences? In this play, kids will learn to use their empathy skills and to advocate for their own needs.
They’re back and aiming for the finish! Sal the Tortoise and Speedy the Hare have met each other at the starting line before, but this time they’re playing to win. While Sal wants to push ahead and finish the level, Speedy jumps at every side quest that comes his way. The answer to this puzzle might require two player mode… together, they’ll learn how to level up in ways they wouldn’t expect.
