Sophie Javna

Actor-Educator

Sophie is a theatermaker, mover, singer, scribbler and aspiring puppeteer! She moved to Minneapolis in January of 2019 from Colorado Springs, where she studied theater at Colorado College and spent two years urban farming with her friends. She arrived in the Midwest just in time for the Polar Vortex and has felt like an honorary Minnesotan ever since. When she is not acting, she loves planting seeds and turning compost, reading her favorite poet Ross Gay, walking around Lake of the Isles, and watching every episode of Seinfeld ever. Her most favorite snack is a pb&j sandwich with two toaster waffles instead of bread. Her favorite shows have been Chicago, Go Dog, Go!, and Body Awareness (directed). “I am so excited to work with an organization that honors play as both radical and transformative. I appreciate that they bring a spirit of play into their work, and are students of it themselves!”
