Supplies:
- Empty tissue box
- Paper
- Decorating items (stickers, markers, paint, tape, etc.)
This activity is very simple! Have fun decorating tools to get creative and decorate their box in whatever way they want. Help them to label the outside of the box saying something like, “Gratitude Box,” “What I’m grateful for” or something similar. After doing the activity from the class, (taking a deep breath and naming three things around you that you are grateful for) write down your student’s answers and put them inside the box. They can then look back on their answers during a time where they are feeling anxious and struggling to stay present and grateful!
