Create A Quarantine Castle

The royalty of the CLIMB kingdom are all staying inside due to a sickness that is spreading. Help keep yourself busy by making castles to make yourself and others smile!

Directions:

Cut an 18cm x 10.5cm rectangle from plain colored card and draw on the door, following the measurements on the diagram (fig 1). Use a craft knife to cut along the solid lines at the base, upper curved edge and center of the door only (younger children will need adult help here). Very lightly score along the dotted lines at the side edges of the doors.
Roll the card around a toilet roll and stick the overlap down with tape. Remove the toilet roll.
Cut a 7cm x 2cm rectangle from card. Fold down 1cm at both sides. Glue this to the inside base of the house as a platform for the fairy to stand on (see fig 2).
Using the template, cut out the roof from patterned paper. Roll into a cone and stick the sides together using double-sided tape.
Thread a large-eyed needle with a length of twine, knot the ends and thread it through the top of the cone. Stick double-sided tape all around the top outer edge of the house and stick the roof in place.
Place a fairy inside and hang up by the thread, adding a ribbon, if liked.
