Country Mouse & City Mouse: Adventure to the Suburbs for Libraries and Youth Groups (Summer 2024)
Since the mouse cousins had such a “gouda” time when they last met, they decided to take their next adventure to more neutral grounds: The Suburbs. Country Mouse wants to explore the new area while City Mouse wants to read, renew, and repeat for a relaxing vacation. Will conflict tear apart their relationship, or will they learn to compro-mice and celebrate their differences? In this play, kids will learn to use their empathy skills and to advocate for their own needs. Empathy and Advocacy
Talula Rabbit’s New Habit for K-2nd
Talula Rabbit is having hard time following directions, playing by the rules of games, and being a good friend. She blurts out whatever she’s thinking, acts impulsively, and constantly loses focus when something else becomes more interesting. Her lack of self-control makes some of the other kids at School of the Woods feel uncomfortable and unsafe. With the help of her parent, classmates, and students in the audience, Talula learns how to self-regulate. In the end, Talula’s newly expressed self-control brings positive results, including better friendships. Self-Regulation
Peepers United for K-2nd
Charley “rescues” a frog, names it Stitches, and brings it home in a box. However, when Stitches magically grows to adult human size and escapes the box, he recruits the students in the audience as part of his Peeper Union, whose goal is to inspire kids to follow the three R’s, and remember to compost organics. Stitches and his peeper friends are bioindicator species, which means that harm to the environment harms them, and they need everyone’s help to survive. Charley and Stitches, along with the audience as peepers, help everyone learn planet-saving, frog-saving ways to manage the waste stream. Advocacy
Walkin’ it Back for 3rd-6th
Joey wants to feel powerful and often ends up doing so at the expense of others, while Luka feels stuck without a way to do anything about it. Parker, a new student, decides to help both of them with tools she learned at her previous school. With memorable songs teaching steps for students to follow, this musical helps students not just feel empathy, but act with empathy, as well as better regulate their words and actions. Empathy and Self-Regulation
Claudia Vs. The Trashinator for 3rd-6th
Some kids dream of being a Superhero – not Claudia. She just wants to be a Super Hero’s sidekick. Her dream comes true when The Elemental falls ill because of a phony device called the Trashinator and a quickly filling landfill. Never fear! Claudia and the 3Rs (Waste reduction, reuse, and recycling) will save the day! Advocacy and Accountability
Unfiltered for 6th-12th
Three students end up stuck together after school in detention, all for different reasons. Casey was using her phone in class. Sam got caught cutting class. Mac is being bullied and finally gets fed up and punches the main offender. Each of them needs to learn new skills that prompt them towards positive actions. Through flashbacks and conversations, Sam learns to advocate for others, Mac learns to regulate their actions, and Casey learns to consider other people’s perspectives. Advocacy and Self-Regulation
CLIMB Rallies have the theatricality of a play and the interactive style of a class. We set the baseline of the script, while you select from scenes that best fit your audience needs. This assembly style program is perfect for smaller schools or reaching individual grades at one time.
