Intergenerational Interactions
Since 2015, CLIMB Theatre has used its interactive theatre techniques to create opportunities for individuals from various generations to connect.
Through music, story telling, and improvisation, Intergenerational Interactions inspire and propel individuals (many with Alzheimer’s or other forms of Dementia) to create and perform theatrical works with our resident artists… all within 30-45 minutes!
In 2019, we expanded our programming to include Grandpa and Lucy, a play adaptation of a children’s book aimed at raising awareness and creating an educational opportunity for youth and families around Alzheimer’s and other forms of Dementia.
Intergenerational residencies can range from 6 to 9 sessions. They are fully customizable and can range from 30-45 minutes in length.
Adapted from a book written by a Minnesota based high school student, Grandpa and Lucy is a true reflection of CLIMBs mission in action. Contact us to book a performance and we will bring it to you.
Running time: 70 minutes (including post show talkback)
