Peepers United (K-2)
In this delightful play for K-2, CLIMB actors teach how to hop into organic composting.
1. To show how choices about resource and waste management can affect the health of animals and people in the community
2. To demonstrate how to recycle organics & how composting organics is a vital tool in waste management.
3. To reinforce the waste management concept of the three “R”s: reduce, reuse, and recycle
4. To demonstrate that one person’s actions do make a difference, either in a negative or positive way

Charley rescues a frog, names it Stitches, and brings it home in a box. Little does Charley know that Stitches was on a mission when “rescued.” Overnight, Stitches grows to adult human size and escapes the box, in order to complete the mission: Inspire kids to not only follow the three R’s, but to especially compost organics. Stitches and peeper friends are bio indicator species and they need everyone’s help to survive. Charley and Stitches, with the help of the audience as peepers, help everyone learn planet-saving, frog-saving ways to manage the waste stream.
“We learned so much about how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. This play goes along with our E-STEM philosophy. We would love to have CLIMB Theater visit again!”SCHEDULE NOW
